This week Nadia Whittome has met with local organisation Survivors Alliance to mark the United Nations World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. Survivors Alliance is a worldwide movement, run by survivors of human trafficking, for survivors of human trafficking; and operates a Nottingham branch.
Nadia Whittome said:
“It was incredibly humbling to meet with Survivors Alliance and hear first-hand about the important work that they do with survivors and to tackle human trafficking. It is important to mark World Day Against Trafficking in Persons and to remember the real people and real stories behind human trafficking. I would encourage anyone in Nottingham East concerned about Human Trafficking or Modern Day Slavery to get in touch with the British Red Cross”.
