Nadia Whittome commemorates Remembrance Day

Today at 11am, to commemorate Remembrance Day, MP for Nottingham East Nadia Whittome observed two minutes of silence in honour of all those who served and died in conflict.

On Sunday, Ms Whittome laid a wreath on behalf of all Nottingham MPs and gave a reading at the service of remembrance at St Mary’s Church.

Nadia Whittome said:

It was an enormous honour to give a reading at the service of remembrance, on behalf of Nottingham MPs. The anniversary of the end of the First World War is a day of reflection. We must never forget all the people who served and whose lives were cut short by war. In memory of their sacrifice, it is our duty to strive for a peaceful world.
